Clean Air Force Hero Fund
Giving Back to Vancouver Island
While Clean Air Force aims to improve the indoor air quality in your home, there are a lot of other things that we would like to help with in the community.
Owners Neil and Stephanie Ballard are active members of the community, and huge outdoor enthusiasts. We believe in giving back to an Island that has given us so much. That is why we started our Hero Fund. With your help, Clean Air Force will put 1% of all profits into a fund which we will donate good local causes or charitable organizations. Whether it be an organized local clean up, or an event that is promoting awareness for a good cause. We are committed to being a solid member of the community here on Vancouver Island.
If you have an organization or event that you would like us to sponsor please drop us a line and tell us a little bit about it!
Thank you for supporting our business and helping us give back to the community!

We bought a pallet full of 1000 LBS of food which will be donated to local food banks to help our community.
The food banks are so vital to our locals. With the raising costs of living, so many have to choose between putting a roof over their head or having food on their table every day. This is not a choice that anyone should ever have to make. With the help from our community, we are able to put food on the table for everyone.
Last year, this event was able to supply the local food banks for an ENTIRE YEAR! How incredible is that?!

Our kids, Taylor – 11, Ryan – 8 and Grace – 6, wanted to sell lemonade and iced tea by donation. They decided that instead of keeping the money for themselves, they would donate all of it to the Cowichan SPCA!
We were really proud of them for doing that all on their own! Raising kids who are happy to give back to our community, is so important to us.
They sat out there in the heat and wind for over 3 hours and raise just over $74! The next day we took the cash to the SPCA and in return, the kids were given t-shirts and were allowed to steal a lot of snuggles from a sweet kitten named Cheeky!

The 5th Annual Denis Muloin Bike Ride for Palliative Care.
This particular cause is very close to Stephanie. In April 2014, her father, Denis Muloin passed away from cancer.
Denis was a huge influence for the biking community around Vancouver Island and further.
He spent a lot of time in the Saanich Peninsula Palliative Care Unit, surrounded by family and friends. The care that Denis was given went above and beyond what one would expect.
His family and friends were so grateful for everything the hospital did for them during such a difficult time that they want to continuously give back and say thanks!
Although we were unable to participate in the ride this year, we wanted to show our support by giving a donation to the Palliative Care Unit.
We want to thank the Saanich Peninsula Hospital & Healthcare Foundation and Russ Hay’s The Bicycle Shop for putting on such a great event! We hope to see the amount of riders and support grow each year!
After a busy first 4 months in business we are pleased to make our first Hero Fund donation. We recently dropped off a whole bunch of art supplies to the Cowichan Valley Youth Services Society.
We hope the youth can enjoy these art supplies and continue to grow and inspire their imaginations.
We would like to thank all of our customers, family and friends for the overwhelming support. We look forward to serving the Island and continuing to give back with future donations!
Owners, Neil & Stephanie Ballard.
