VISOA

Has your strata been hiring a company to clean from the Exterior Only? Here are some potential issues that could be missed with this method:

  • Fire hazards inside of the dryer.

  • Dryers not functioning properly / blowers not working.

  • Crushed or damaged transition hoses.

  • Disconnections in the wall or ceiling/attic.

  • Blockages in the vent.

  • No airflow test from the exterior of the vent.

Although we do offer an exterior only cleaning option for convenience, this should not be completed year after year, without ever having a technician come inside.

We highly recommend our essential and comprehensive cleaning options, especially for new clients. At Clean Air Force, we actually care about your safety and the safety of those around you!

A Company Who's Doing It Right!

From the moment you receive a quote from us, you will see why we differ from other companies!

Clean Air Force has the experienced technicians that you can trust to take care of your group of homeowners. All jobs are completed by owner, Neil Ballard.

Neil has been working with property managers and Stratas for many years on many different types of jobs.

We offer group discounts on dryer vent cleaning for stratas, condominiums and townhomes.

After almost a decade in business, Clean Air Force is becoming the trusted name for strata dryer vent cleaning. Over the past several years we have discovered countless fire hazards and other problems that had previously never been addressed because the strata had been using an exterior only cleaning option. It has become industry standard practice on Vancouver Island for companies to routinely clean dryer vents from the exterior only but to us this is not a complete job and should not be the only method for cleaning dryer vents. After all, dryers catch fire not dryer vents.

Difficult to access dryer vents from the exterior? Have other companies been "cleaning" the vents through the dryer lint traps, without pulling out the machines?

If you answered YES, read this!

Attempting to clean a dryer vent from the interior, through the lint trap is not a proper method. In fact, this often causes more issues than it solves. The lint will not be completely removed from the vent. Often it will be pushed down the vent, causing a major blockage. If cleaning from the interior is the only option, dryers always have to be pulled out to clean the entire vent from the wall stub out. We NEVER blow air through the lint trap!

Is the laundry unit located in a small closet?

Is the laundry unit oversized or a stacker?

We've got it covered!

We carry a specialized appliance mover so we can safely uninstall and reinstall your laundry machines without risking damage to the building.

Clean Air Force makes sure that your home is protected from start to finish!

We Offer Multiple Dryer Vent Cleaning Options

Exterior Only Dryer Vent Cleaning

We do not come inside. We do not check for fire hazards. We do not check flex hoses, dryer function or for disconnections.

This option is not recommended for first time clients.

Scope of Work:

  • Clean as much of the vent line as we can from the exterior using high-powered compressed air.

  • Clean the vent cover and flapper.

When safe to do so, we use a lint collection system to keep mess to a minimum.

Essential Dryer Vent Cleaning

We do not move the washer or dryer for this service.

Scope of Work:

  • Clean the lint trap housing to ensure the blower area is free of debris.

  • Perform a visual inspection of the dryer for potential fire hazards.

  • When visible, we inspect the transition (flex) hose to confirm it is secure and in good condition.
(Note: Ongoing maintenance and cleaning of the flex hose is the occupant’s responsibility).

  • Clean the full vent line from the exterior using high-powered compressed air.

  • Clean the vent cover and flapper.

  • Test airflow at the exterior to confirm proper exhaust performance.

When safe to do so, we use a lint collection system to keep mess to a minimum.

Comprehensive Dryer Vent Cleaning

For appliances that are difficult to move (stacked or over sized laundry units), we carry a specialized appliance mover which enable us to safely move laundry units without risking damage to walls and floors.

Scope of Work:

  • Clean the lint trap housing to clear debris from the blower area.

  • Perform a visual inspection of the dryer for fire hazards.

  • Carefully pull out the dryer.

  • Vacuum the transition (flex) hose and the dryer intake.

  • Vacuum the floor behind the dryer.

  • Reconnect the dryer securely. We can replace flex hoses if required.

  • Clean the full vent line from the exterior using high-powered compressed air.

  • Clean the vent cover and flapper.

  • Test airflow at the exterior to confirm proper exhaust performance.

When safe to do so, we use a lint collection system to keep mess to a minimum.

Interior Access Only Dryer Vent Cleaning

This option is performed when the exterior of the vents are not accessible by a 32-foot ladder. This method is not an option for most roof vents as we need to visibly inspect the exterior of the vent. For appliances that are difficult to move (stacked or over sized laundry units), we carry a specialized appliance mover which enable us to safely move laundry units without risking damage to walls and floors.
