All work is performed by owner, Neil Ballard and an assistant technician when necessary.

How to Prepare for Your Appointment:​​

• We require inside access to all units. If any residents do not intend be home during our visit please have them make arrangements to leave a key with a neighbour. Units that are not able to be accessed by our technician on the date listed below, can be rebooked individually, at our regular dryer vent cleaning rate. 

• Unit Arrival Times: Unfortunately, due to the nature of the work, we are unable to give specific arrival times/time windows for each resident. We will do our best to give the strata a plan regarding the order in which units will be completed. The order of which the vents will be cleaned will be decided by our technician. To work as efficiently as possible, we will always start at one side of a complex or the top floor of a condo building and work our way in order through the units.

• For Essential Cleanings: We do not move the dryers. We do not replace flex hoses but will notate if any require replacing. 

• For Comprehensive Cleaning: Flex Hose Replacements (if required): We will include these on the same invoice billed to the strata. If the owners are responsible for this cost, the strata will retrieve payment from the owners. Flex hoses range between $10 and $30 depending on materials used.

• Please leave dryers in place. Although it may seem helpful to pull dryers out ahead of time, it can cause delays with our work.

• Please ensure dryers are empty and the areas around the dryer are free from objects. For Complete Cleanings, this includes any shelving, etc. that may be in the way of pulling the dryer out and/or accessing the back of the dryer. We do not move the dryers for the Essential cleaning option. 

• If we are required to access yards where dogs reside, please ensure any dog feces has been cleaned up prior to the appointment. 

• Parking: Please ensure there is an easily accessible designated parking area for our work van. We will require service vehicle parking or, if using parking stalls, please ensure that two parking stalls side by side are available for the work van as we will need enough space to have the cargo doors open. There will be an airline run from the compressor in the van to the exterior of each vent.
   

Essential Dryer Vent Cleaning - Scope of Work: 

We do not move the dryer. Maintenance of the flex hose is the owner's/occupant's responsibility.
This service includes cleaning out the dryer lint trap crevice to make sure the blower is clear of debris. A visual inspection of the dryer for fire hazards, as well as a visual inspection of the flex transition hose to ensure it is in good condition and connected securely. Each occupant is responsible for the maintenance of their own flex hose. We then clean the entire run of the vent from the exterior using high-powered compressed air. Finally, we test the airflow from the exterior to verify the dryer is exhausting properly. We use a net to catch most of the lint so the mess will be very minimal.

Comprehensive Dryer Vent Cleaning - Scope of Work: 
This includes cleaning out the dryer lint trap crevice to make sure the blower is clear of debris and visual inspection of the dryer for fire hazards. If the dryer is easy to pull out without moving the washer, we then pull out the dryer and clean out the transition flex hose, as well as the dryer intake and vacuum the floor behind the dryer. After reconnecting the dryer, we then clean the run of the vent from the exterior using high-powered compressed air. For the final step, we test the airflow from the exterior to verify the dryer is exhausting properly.

Additional rates may apply for vents with booster fans, if we are required to move difficult appliances, or if we run into difficulties such as, blockages, bird nests, steep roof access, disconnected vents or water in the vents, etc.

Insurance: We are fully insured and registered with WorkSafe BC and carry all appropriate liability insurance. Our technicians will arrive on time and in full uniform. We will carry out the job with professionalism and clean up any messes that are made. ​​
